Sometimes, the most meaningful lessons are the ones that teach us how to care for ourselves.
At Camp Crame High School, students gathered for a health seminar that went beyond facts and figures. Through the joint efforts of the RCCC and PNP Health Service, young minds were given a safe space to learn about personal hygiene, menstrual health, sanitation, and adolescent reproductive health—topics that matter deeply during the journey of growing up.
Led by PLTCOL DR. ELISA TAJON, the discussion reminded students that caring for their bodies is an act of self-respect. They learned that clean hands can prevent illness, proper hygiene can protect their health, and menstruation is a natural part of life—not something to hide or be ashamed of.
More importantly, the seminar encouraged students to ask questions, make responsible choices, respect their bodies, and seek guidance when they need it.
For some, it may have been just another school activity. But for others, it may have been the moment they gained the confidence to understand their bodies, speak without fear, and care for themselves with dignity.
Because when we educate a young person, we do more than share knowledge—we give them the power to build a healthier future.
Healthy habits. Informed minds. Empowered lives.
